Itinerary

Day 1

Petropavlovsk

Meet & greet at the airport, transfer (25km) to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – the capital of the province (25km). Check in to hotel. In the evening – excursion to Paratunka resort center, swimming in thermal water pool. (no meals)
Day 2

Petropavlovsk

There is a possibility to take an optional helicopter excursion to the Valley of Geysers, flight around Karymsky (1486m) and Maly Semyachik (1560m) volcanoes, trekking in the Valley There are more than 20 big geysers in the valley. The period of their explosions may differ from10-12 minutes to 4-5 hours. The wreathes of steam, fountains of boiling water, incredible colours of slopes, hot water streaming along them and profuse greenery of grasses and trees create an enchanting spectacle. Lunch is served in the Valley. (for those will not join the excursion, we organize sightseeing in the city.
Day 3

Kamchatka

Transfer (3 hours) to the Kozyrevsk settlement on the bank of the River Kamchatka. On the way – stop for the lunch in the village Milkovo, swimming in hot springs. Upon arrival to Kozyrevsk we will visit a classic Russian bath. See one of the oldest Kamchatka settlements, founded by Itelmens (aboriginals of Kamchatka in the 18th century). Accommodation in Kozyrevsk in the private tourist shelter in wooden houses (half board).
Day 4

Kamchatka

During the flight, the weather permitting, you can see Alney and Chashakondzha volcanoes. Accommodation at the recreational and tourist base on the lake of “Dvukhyurtochnoye”, in wooden houses, in rooms for 4 – 6 people. Bathing in the healing waters of the hot springs. Lunch in the wardroom. Rest. Walk (600 meters) to the shore of a mountain river “Dvuhyurtochnoye”. There you can observe bears catching fish spawning.(full board).
Day 5

Kamchatka

On the river you can see sprawling salmon and bears hunting them. It is a nice opportunity for fishing, fish may be cooked fastly after being caught. You may bathe in hot springs nearby. (full board).
Day 6

Kamchatka

After lunch we will fly by helicopter to Kozyrevsk village. There we will go to the foot of the beautiful volcanic massif formed by volcanoes Ostry and Plosky Tolbachik (90 km, 4 hours). On the road, you will enjoy picturesque views of the highest volcanoes of Kamchatka. Overnight in tents. (full board).
Day 7

Kamchatka

Observing the consequences of eruption 2013 (“young” cone, fresh lava flows, caves – “lavovody”, the stone sculptures and the heaps of hardened lava). Overnight in tents. (full board).
Day 8

Kamchatka

Travel by car to the North breakthrough. On Tolbachik are formed several fresh cones with 100-200 meters height. On the Soth breakout you will see Dead forest – a remnant of 1975 eruption. Overnight in tents. (full board).
Day 9

Petropavlovsk

The road will take 8-9hrs to the hotel “Petropavlovsk”. In Milkovo you will stop for a lunch. Accommodation in the hotel. (breakfast only).
Day 10

Petrovlovsk

2d option: Boat trip to Avacha Bay. Watching sea birds rookeries on Babushkin Kamen (Old Woman’s Stone) Island and Tri Brata (Three Brothers) Island. Short tour to the Pacific Then a motorboat tour (6 hours, 64km) to Starik Island in the legendary beauty of Avacha Bay, a refuge from the harsh waters of the Pacific. The island is named after a tiny bird of just 150 grams, called the Japanese Murrelet or Crested Murrelet (starik in Russian). There we’ll enjoy bird watching, fishing and a picnic lunch. (no meals).
Day 11

Petropavlovsk

Transfer at 9:00 to fish market. Transfer to the airport. (breakfast in the hotel).

The sequence of the tour can be changed.

In 2016 the cost of the helicopter excursion to the Valley of Geysers and the caldera of the Uzon Volcano Uzo is 39,000 rubles. The excursion fee is paid separately and on the day of excursion. The flight to the Valley of Geysers is possible only if the weather is nice and the group has enough people.
